Commonplace book apparently owned and probably compiled by Ann, Countess of Strafford around 1715-1730. There are several poems in the volume that are acrostics of the Countess's name, or that otherwise refer to her, though the majority of the volume is composed of satirical and politcal poetry and songs. Several works by Pope, Swift, Addison and Dryden are also included. The text is written in several different, neat hands.
